My personal background and experience is varied and contributes to my ability to deeply empathize with others. Here's a glimpse at some of my life and how it's shaped my approach to counselling.
I grew up on a mixed hobby farm and have worked from home for the last 20 years writing, editing and raising our two kids who we homeschooled during their elementary years. I've always found the idea of living off the land fascinating. On our acreage I've gardened, canned, dehydrated, foraged, butchered, and made maple syrup. My husband, who grew up in a cattle farming family, raises cattle, harvests hay, and collects, repairs and uses old farming implements. |

I care deeply about those who are vulnerable, disenfranchised, or on the fringes of their families and friends, faith group, school, work, culture, or society. Over the last 23 years I've worked with numerous community programs who provide clothes, food, shelter, transportation and other necessities. I feel offering practical assistance is important not just for the people who need it, but also for me as it contributes to my sense of meaning and purpose, and is the demonstrative alignment of word and deed. Counselling is one more way in which I help care for my fellow humans.

1. What is your fee?
Session fees for individuals are $130 for a 60-minute session, $150 for couples, payable by visa, mastercard, cash, paypal, or etransfer.
2. How long is your wait list?
I do not have a wait list! Bookings are now available!
3. Are my sessions covered by my insurance policy?
Insurance can really help with session costs! I'm currently listed as a service provider with Blue Cross, SunLife and MPI, and would be covered by many others as well. Please confirm with your insurance company prior to booking. I provide a receipt for you to send them for reimbursement.
4. Can Victim Services, CFS, MCFCS or other agencies fund my sessions?
Many agencies have funds available to help you get the support you need. With agencies like these, you can request funding approval prior to booking with me or, if you are already a client, to request funding for ongoing support. Please ask your agency worker for direction on that.
